Right-to-left and bidirectional text about cufon

any progress for this feature? is it going to be added to cufon one day? even @font-face has some problems with right to left characters so my only hope is cufon

Unfortunately this is just not going to happen anymore. I know RTL sounds simple (just change the direction, right?) but it's not. These are/can be called "Complex Scripts" like Microsoft does. In short, it's a lot of work & research and I am unable to do that in my current situation. It will most likely not happen in the future either, we have @font-face after all.

I appreciate the help offers but I am not able to offer any significant assistance either, as the changes this feature requires would be quite huge. Ideally someone would just make a new fork, do the work there and then perhaps distribute it on his own website and/or merge it back here.
