git_client::source installs twice 1.9.5 default and then the target about git

@rojomisin Thanks for posting this issue. It shows that we need to make our documentation a bit clearer.
You don't need to include git::source. You just need to use the git_client resource, and then make sure your wrapper cookbook includes a pinned version of the git cookbook.
