So, if I understand correctly, this is the resultant code with spaces replaced with dots so we can see it:
1: /**
2: .*.FooBar
3: .*.
4: .*.|
...and the error is the trailing space (err, dot?) on line 3.
If that's right, I'm not sure it's that big of a deal... I know that ST2 automatically clears empty lines and that a line with a single *
is conceptually empty in this context, but wouldn't setting "trim_trailing_white_space_on_save": true
in your settings be just as good?
from sublime-jsdocs.
In source controlled files it's not a good practice to introduce unrelated changes in form or removed trailing spaces (what the "trim_trailing_white_space_on_save" does).
I just want to make sure that no trailing spaces are introduced in a code I write. I know that for some people it's not a big deal but it's sometimes enforced by owners of the file I'm changing so it can be a problem.

In source controlled files
Is there any other sort? ๐
I'll look into it shortly.

I meant code controlled by DVCS systems, where multiple people contribute and it's easy to cause needless conflicts when modifying file for no good reason.
