This is indeed already fixed in the followup! The issue was due to DNA itself being corrupted (mcolor1-3 were constructed with widths of 6, when base human DNA expects a constant width of 3). Specifically, the bug was fixed in commit 8e27f50 (8 days ago as of writing!).
