I think that the classes or source in SpotBugsTask is what you need.

For now we have no documentation about it, so refer document for FindBugs task instead.

as documented in official javadoc, this sourceSets is only for setting "The source sets to be analyzed as part of the check and build tasks." It is used only in the parent class so it's out of what spotbugs-gradle-plugin handles.

An example would really help as specifying target sources is a core functionality
