Sleuth integration about spring-cloud-gateway

Interesting feature would be to extend zipking view with data from client/user that is part of the auth token - of course this data security critical- but very can be helpful for filtering for monitoring on e.g. early birding requests for special clients/user

Wouldn't the TraceWebFilter do the trick?

It's part of the answer. The Netty http client needs to be instrumented as well to pass tracing downstream

What's the status of this issue? Any ETA?

I am using spring-cloud-gateway:2.0.0.M8 and spring-cloud-sleuth:2.0.0.M8
Zipkin shows inbound HTTP request to the API Gateway but does not show the outbound requests made either via API Gateway routing or explicit WebClient calls.

There's an issue in sleuth for this as well that has been closed, but wasn't release last week. We need to verify that it's all working in snapshots.
