I actually reported this on the mailing list/somewhere, and thought it was fixed by now. Oh well!
I might just make the fix myself unless Maxime reminds me of something that might blow up because of the change. A deprecated version of the method would still have to exist of course.

I don't have an opinion on deprecation, it would break someone's existing build if they're using that method but the fix is a two character swap.

The point of deprecation is that it doesn't break anything.
Anyways, I fixed this issue across the code base (it existed in even more locations) and added method deprecations. Fix is in 624cc9a.
