collectabites

Collectabite is built using serial communication between an Arduino micro-controller and the Processing development environment. The user registers a healthy eating action by high fivin a giant physical apple figure in a kitchen (aka "Lil' Collectabite"). Using force-sensing resistors that we calibrate, we are able to determine exactly when a high five has been registered by the system. Once the system has been triggered, Processing takes over. This is the Processing sketch.

The economz physical installation is powered by serial communication between Arduino and Processing. Food items are tagged with RFIDs and communicated to Processing via an NFC/RFID shield and Arduino. Processing does the rest.
