I feel like I'm missing something. Instead of buffering (potentially large amounts of) data in memory, why would you not simply call stream.pause()? stream.pause() should exert back-pressure on the sender and stop them from sending more data until we're ready to accept it.

Automatic license checkers are not picking up your package because there is no license field in package.json. It would be very helpful if it were added.

I'm using pkg to build my project, and I need that all the package.json files of my dependencies have a licensing attribute. Please, can you add a license entry in your project?

Hi @tj would you be OK with contributing this module to the https://github.com/stream-utils organization? There isn't really anything to do here, but may as well keep stuff from just falling into 3 year old never-modified stuff, right :)?
