Thanks @aripollak for the useful enhancement and a clear patch. I assume I can 
use 
your patch under gpl v3 licence for this project. 

Merged your patch with my other intended changes for 2.0 in trunk, yet to 
release. 
Also added you as a contributor. 

If you can check the trunk and give your feedback, that would be great.
