With the development of digital technologies in recent decades, there have been drastic changes in the mode of communication and usages of digital accessories in our today’s lives. Although internet connections are available even in remote locations, connectivity and internet speed issues prevail. Hence, Bluetooth chat application is an attempt to revoke the old methods of communication and file transfer. The application does not require any Internet connection, it works just with Bluetooth connectivity, which is pre-installed in most devices with the installation Operating Systems, users can send free messages to their friends sitting over the classroom, school playgrounds, when nearby, without a cellular connection or Wi-Fi. This application will be powered by Google’s Android Operating System and the IDE used will be Android Studio. This application will be compatible with the android versions higher than 4.0. Any two devices with Bluetooth enabled within Bluetooth bandwidth can be connected for communication enabling point-to-point and multipoint wireless features so we will absolutely be able to transfer data to other devices in the network circle. The software will be developed as an Interactive and collaborative learning aid with an attractive Graphical User Interface (GUI) which makes the usage of the app more convenient and creative. This Application can be used as an alternative to Short Message Services (SMS) which are otherwise costly and need to be paid for. The communication process that the system exhibits is one-to-many that means users can only chat with the server, which acts as an interface between the other users. Another useful feature of the system is that it maintains all the chat history so one can view it whenever required
An organised and systematic solution is essential for all shopping malls and supermarkets. There are many departments of administration for the maintenance of membership and product details. Most of these records need to maintain information about the number of years of membership to avail discount accordingly. The other general details of the members may include member name, ID, address and phone number. All the modules in shopping mall administration are interdependent. They are maintained manually. So they need to be automated and centralized as information from one module will be needed by other modules.
The need for a secure communication gives rise to concept of cryptography. Data encryption or ciphering translates data into another form, or code, so that only people with access to a secret key (formally called a decryption key) or password can read it. Encrypted data is commonly referred to as ciphertext, while unencrypted data is called plaintext. Cryptography or cryptology is the practice and study of techniques for secure communication in the presence of third parties called adversaries. In cryptography, a cipher is an algorithm for performing encryption or decryption—a series of well-defined steps that can be followed as a procedure. Computational cryptography deals with the storage and processing of sensitive information in computer systems by enciphering. Sensitive information is information that for some reason must be protected from being disclosed to individuals without proper authorization. Cryptographic techniques appear to be one of the most simple and secure methods of providing this much needed protection. In this project, our aim is to implement data encryption using the Homophonic cipher so as to enable secure communication between various systems. Homophonic cipher is a simple enciphering technique that can be used to encode sensitive data in computer systems. This cipher has properties that make it possible to do editing on data within the computer without decoding. The Homophonic Substitution cipher is a substitution cipher in which single plaintext letters can be replaced by any of several different ciphertext letters. They are generally much more difficult to break than standard substitution ciphers. Homophonic ciphering technique has various applications in real world, one of the major applications being in the military communication.
This project is an endeavour to learn the concepts of image processing and to implement the basic techniques and lessons taught in the course into real world problems. The project basically tries to extract images from a huge dataset with constraints using MATLAB coding to find the desired result in minimal time. The project will be having a dataset from which the images will be extracted the patient is suffering from. The required image will be provided to the skin disease recognition system, there it will be trained i.e., the image will be converted into segments using segmentation and further it will be converted into vector which will then be compared to the vector image that is already present in the dataset. At last the image will be matched with the required image and the user will be able to find that the patient is suffering from which disease in very short amount of time. This technique can be used in real world situations which will help in providing better outcomes and save many lives.
