Maybe due to sharing option contains Video Text(Title) with the Video link.

Which share button are you using? The one below the player or inside it?

Hi! I was using the share button below the player. I didn't even notice the one inside. But I also just tried the one inside the player and the result is the same. Thanks

Is this specific to this device or is it happening on others as well? A different OS would also help narrow it down.

I have a Pixel 6, Pixel 6A and Pixel tablet. All are running grapheneos latest versions of graphensos, youtube, newpipe, etc.

All have the same result when pressing share button (no youtube app option displayed - lots of others apps display though)

Thank you

YouTube doesn't add itself in the share sheet, there is nothing we can do about that, as this is managed by the apps themselves and the system.

A possibility to solve what you ask in your feature request would be to transform the Open in browser button to always open a list of apps which can handle links you open (it is/was implemented in LibreTube for instance with a custom bottom sheet, but we can simply use the system one).

Before Android 12, if you don't set an app as the default one to open YouTube links, you can select the YouTube app in the system chooser which opens when pressing the Open in browser button.

Ah, alright. Then closing this as a YT problem.

@GHM3434 You can use another app like https://f-droid.org/en/packages/de.k3b.android.intentintercept/ in order to force the YT app to accept its own damn links, like a bawse.
