You mentioned that the code should work on all IDE, but the fact is not like you said.

When I first open it with a 2019 version of IntelliJ IDEA, it can not work at all with some errors, which show the grandle can not work in this environment.

I fix it successfully by updating IDEA to a 2021 version.

My first round ended last Friday and I'm not sure it's available for me later.

The purpose of updating the information there is to hope it can help you and other candidates don't waste more time on these issues.

Thank you for your response. Can you please provide me with more information so that I can replicate the issue please? - What version of Java was used? - Was Gradle installed locally and if so what version? Please note that Gradle is not required and I am asking so that I can replicate the problem. - How was the project opened in IntelliJ? If you like we can have a quick call and you can walk me through the problem. With kind regards, Albert Attard

  1. The Machine surroundings are jdk1.8 and macOS Monterey.
  2. I don't install grandle locally because I get the information in the readme document that it's not necessarily.
  3. Because I fix it on my laptop and I don't remain the problematic version. I just can get the info from the search history, it shows like "Unable to find method 'org.gradle.api.artifacts.result.ComponentSelectionReason.getDescription()Ljava/lang/String".

So I'm sorry that I cannot duplicate it again. The better way is just to tell the users the best practice.
