Orphans in headings look a bit daft. There’s a solid way of preventing this with TypeMate, which looks for orphans and dynamically adds an   before it so that two words are wrapped, rather than just the one.

After some extended playing with the linked js plugin, this is not worth exploring. There's some weird behaviour in the plugin (in particular, with headings that are also links, where the   is added to the end of the <a> when h2s are targeted).

The benefits aren't strong enough to warrant the tangle of on/off configuration that'd be needed, and even then some things wouldn't be able to have it applied (for example, applying to h2 and h2 a makes a mess, so only h2 a can be chosen, meaning 'naked' h2s don't benefit from the plugin).

Let's wait and see what happens with CSS as this definitely feels like something that should be taken care of there, rather than in the JavaScript.
