NOTE: Terrestria for 1.20+ no longer requires TerraBlender.

Terrestria is a detailed and vibrant biomes mod for Minecraft running on the Fabric mod loader. Terrestria enhances gameplay through the addition of 16 major biomes with several derivative biomes, 9 new wood types, as well as a healthy selection of foliage - providing a refreshing new selection of terrain.

Terrestria requires Fabric Loader and Fabric API

The goal of Terrestria is to be the most polished and visually appealing biomes mod available for Minecraft, and to this end there has been intense focus on selecting, detailing, and refining the biomes until they look absolutely amazing. Rather than add tons of different biomes, focus has been put into adding a rather small amount of biomes and then populating them with large amounts of detail. This overall results in a more cohesive experience compared to existing biome mods.

Traverse works well alongside Terrestria if you are looking for a set of biomes that are closer to the Vanilla+ ideal. Traverse has a lot of unique, colorful biomes that embrace the simple vanilla aesthetic instead of trying to overshadow it.

Terrestria is a mod for Fabric, and there are no plans to port this mod to Forge.
However, another team is maintaining a Forge fork of this mod at Terrestria Reforged.
Terrestria Reforged is unaffiliated with Terraformers, so please do not ask us for support regarding their mod.

Server bug

Hello, my friends server seems to be crashing a few times and it seems to be related to terrestria.

Add Basalt Farmland and Podzol

  • Farmland, could make crops grow faster
  • Podzol, would allow a fix for spruce trees transmuting basalt dirt/grass to normal dirt/grass (#65)

Add a limestone and marble biome

When combined with the Rubber Tree and Volcanic Island, this would make a pretty complete replacement for the features of RedPower 2 World. Would be a nice building material.

Optimize Textures

At the present Terrestria has no image compression. We need to find a good way to optimize and compress the images to take up less space.

Suggested Mod Capabilities!

Mods I can suggest,

  • Extra Pieces (Blocks, Slopes, Good stuff like that)
  • Adorn (Furniture, Good stuff here too)
  • More Layers (Leaf Piles)
  • Fabriblocks (Bookshelf's?)
  • Tree Bark (Obvious reasons) Tree Bark is not open source, for this reason I will not support it. Ask MarioAndWeegee3 to add the necessary integration on his side.
  • Tool builder (Makes tools completely customizable!) Tool Builder is not open source, it will not be supported. Use Materialisation instead. Also, there's nothing really to add here anyways.

Might come back and suggest more! :)

Boats

Need to implement the appropriate base in Terraform, but for now we should have placeholder recipes to vanilla boats.

Revamp the remaining EBXL biomes

As seen in https://minecraft.curseforge.com/projects/auxiliary-biomes/images most of the remaining biomes are rather bad, perhaps they can be revamped and included.

  • Marsh: Currently not realistic at all. Make it look closer to this
  • Forested Island: Could be reintroduced as a Deep Ocean variant.
  • Ice Wasteland: Not sure. Could be an ice plains / glacier variant.
  • White Forest: Not sure. Seems pretty boring.
  • Wasteland: Could be reintroduced as a biome within the deep desert, a dried lakebed. Maybe even below sea level. Certainly needs to be smaller or at least more appealing, and certainly not anywhere near normal biomes.

Lava + water = basalt

Since this mod adds basalt, it would make sense for lava to generate basalt instead of stone when exposed to water. (Of course source blocks still would make obsidian.) That way, when lava flows from a volcano into the ocean, the generated stone would match the surroundings.

Volcanic Island

The following things need to be resolved:

  • Palm trees need to get wood and textures
    • Palm saplings need loot tables, localization, textures, blockstates, etc
  • Basalt sand/dirt/grass need loot tables, localization
  • Need more detail, perhaps tall grass
  • Volcanoes
    • Change from Feature to Structure, generating slices instead of all at once
    • Volcanoes should be able to generate underwater, as well as properly go into the ocean
    • Add lava flowing down the sides
    • Add smoke particles
    • Add an underground lava chamber (more ores probably)
    • Allow shield volcanoes

Sakura Trees only place leaf piles on grass and dirt

Got a few possible bugs.

Basalt sands are unaffected by hand, shovel, type.
As stated. Basalt sands break the same speed. No matter the item or enchantment used.

Basalt rock. Unaffected by silk touch.

Sakura trees only drop leaves on grass/dirt. Seems the leaves should fall on everything but lava or magma. Leaves don't drop on basalt or any sand.

Basalt Grass Block

No texture; I opened up the file and I didn't find the file there either.

Trees Do Not Float incompatibilities

  • Crash when attempting to search extended leaves
  • Quarter logs do not have their bark side rotated properly when they fall
  • SmallLogBlock is not detected as a log

Jungle palms don't drop enough saplings

I've noticed that Jungle palms don't seem to drop enough saplings. For every 5 trees I down, I'll maybe get 1 sapling. Is there a way to increase the drop rate of them? If not, could you add a way to craft them from sheared leaves or something?

Basalt Strength

Any chance basalt will be as strong as stone?
A creeper just let me know that its not... lol.

Suggestion for volcano islands

The volcanoes that spawn on the biome seem a bit puny I was wondering what you guys thought about it having bigger beefier but fewer volcanoes.

Basalt grass paths

Basalt grass blocks are great, but they don't allow the creation of path blocks when using a shovel on them.
