Yeah sorry, I was about to reopen this. I think it's still an issue, silly me. To the testing-mobile.
For the record: for some reason I thought the hud images were overlays when they most clearly are not.

Tested just now with a stealthed (cloaked) space ninja, and sec HUD. The ninja was fully invisible, no visible overlay.

The only reason the overlay isn't visible is because it's an overlay, and ninjas set their alpha, and thus all of their overlay's alphas, to 0. Which means the bug isn't fixed even if it LOOKS fixed.

What happens now:
Can't see HUD overlays on a cloaked person
Bug fixed. Is the solution perfect? No, but it's ninja code, it's not even exactly part of the game.
