I cannot make a user to admin. about the_role

it look you didn't migrate your database. Check if you have a role column in your users table.

Ehm, how do I check that in the easiest way?

in the rails console type : User.new.role
if it raise a exception the column don't exist, else it ok.

Think I figured it out now, got some problems with rebuilding my database. But now the command worked in Rails console!
