I'm aware that some antivirus programs are reporting the compiled .exe as malware. Obviously, this is a false positive, and I'm constantly reporting it to the respective developers of the products.
This is the current status (which might not be up-to-date):
Product |
Status |
Windows Defender |
Any version/build gets flagged. When reported manually, it gets fixed in less than a day. |
Malwarebytes |
Some versions are flagged. When reported manually, they are quickly fixed. This issue is becoming less common. |
Bkav Pro |
Similar to Malwarebytes, but response time is slower. |
Cynet |

Elastic |

DeepInstinct |

SecureAge |

Antiy-AVL |

It's worth mentioning that the only major antivirus causing constant issues is Windows Defender, and I don't see it getting fixed anytime soon. Given this, the .exe build is no longer the recommended way to run the program, and proper warnings have been added to the documentation.
Also, a big thank you to yaronelh / False-Positive-Center, which has helped a lot with this issue.
