@randomor It's strange that the spec file is getting ran like that. Do you have something set in your vim config that changes to the directory of the current file, like set autochdir?

Thanks for taking a look at this. I've tried both set autochdir and set noautochdir. I also tried !rspec directly from vim, it doesn't work as running it outside of vim. :(

Solved in the vim issue. Removed .vimviews and my noautochdir works now. Thanks!
