Regarding the framework selection for the API, I prefer to use https://github.com/nestjs/nest. I really don't want to use go to write the API, it's too painful. Java is too heavy for us. I'd like to use rails, but the whole org already has multiple technology stacks, so it's prudent to introduce new ones.
