Because object elements cannot have data attached to them in some browsers, jQuery doesn't bind any events when using jQuery 1.x (nor does it even attach the Panzoom instance). However, since Panzoom supports the same browsers as jQuery 2.0 (meaning no old IE), including jQuery 2.0 instead will fix the problem.

it does not fix it on one aspect. The object does not respond to movement/pan with mouse. it does however zoom.

@penfold42 I completely changed my project to be images instead of svg's. Did not have time to try any type of workaround at that moment. sorry...
