My analysis:
- I'm happy that so many people are using the offline feature! I think that was a pretty good idea.
- Audio accounts for a bunch of cross-cutting complexity in big, and has a tiny userbase (2.6%). I think it's high on the list of features to eliminate.
- People are very interested in an online editor, that's the number 1 ask. This strikes me as a little odd, and potentially a bad thing to pursue because I didn't properly define it: is it an online HTML editor, or a more user-friendly editor? Something user-friendly would be something that I wouldn't want to build: putting a WYSIWYG on big, etc, would break its original intent.
- Additional options of screen sizes (aspect ratios) was one of the text responses. That seems pretty doable and maybe a good idea, though this might simply be something to fix with documentation: you can just tweak RATIO in the code. But I don't tell you that you can do that. Yet.
- Slide layout is the thing that to me seems like the highest priority. And we have good ways to do it in CSS now, thanks to CSS Grid etc. It's also fairly high in the rankings.
Any other take-aways? I'm opinionated on these issues, but potentially less opinionated than other folks, and less informed, because I rarely do presentations right now.
