What XP Goal is

An Expected Goal (XP Goal) value is the estimated probability that a shot results in a goal. It is a way to measure with numbers what football fans or pundits usually feel.

XP Goal is now a quite commonly known football statistics, although detailed statistics are not readily available on a per-game details.

Goal

Build a simple XP Goal from scratch, scrapping relevant shot statistics from numerous football games and derive XP Goal values from them

Approach
  1. Scrap shots data from football statistics websites
  2. Clean, analyse data
  3. Build visualization to derive insights from XP Goal values at a team-level
