Post Request with basic authentication fails about needle

You have the function signature backwards for needle.post. It's url, data, options, callback. You're getting a 401 because you're sending your username and password as the request body and no headers. 401 means you sent improper authentication credentials (in this case none).

200 isn't an error code and it sounds like the second call is working fine.

Also, for future reference, please use syntax highlighting on GH. Makes things much easier to read!

Thanks @bendrucker , my BAD that i wrote 200 as an error. Actually i found out the root cause of the problem , i was not setting the Content-Type properly. The API was expecting application/x-www-form-urlencoded; charset=UTF-8 as Content-Type. Thanks for the help :)
