Kevin, I don't think it's too basic for this class. It's a good way to get into JSON and dictionaries, which are important but aren't really dealt with in the previous projects. You're also using if name=='main', and this seems like a good spot to include it.

I'd say this would work, although I'd be mindful of the issues that Eric and Serdar flagged in #12, and maybe include a local copy of the data just to be safe.

We'll also need the commented files for the class.

Anyone else have any suggestions?

Ah, will do.

Commented files for the class?

@kevinschaul, check out @chrislkeller's project 1. For each step, he has a fully functioning script, which we'll give people at the end of the day. He also has this: https://github.com/tommeagher/pycar14/blob/master/project1/my_step_1.py
For each project, we had talked about starting with a whiteboard exercise, then opening the file that's just comments and have people write the code with us for each line.

So on the Wakari bundle, the students will have four folders full of .py files that are just comments. Then at the end of the day, we give them the Github repo that has all the code and other resources.

Does that make sense?

OK, comment files and local data are in there. Feel free (anyone) to make changes when you meet Wednesday evening.
