What do you mean by session? and why do you need to track them?
from traccar.
Hi, yes...
now when you turn on the device and walk around day after day you have a stream of tracking data all together like garmin instrument. I was thinking how to separate this time stream of position data into Tracks with some meta data - beginning and end. This could be marked if the device would have start stop; but lets say that you go running 3 times a day than you would want to have three tracks or being able to get them out of the continuos time position stream... Session i ment that you turn on the device go running, come home and stop the device...

now I get it... but I think there is no clean way to implement this until tracker itself can provide this data (30 min gap is just dirty workaround). I think it's better and easier to let user to select time period himself and draw all points in that period as a track.

Yes, selection si probably the most clean and easy... i was wandering if there is maybe possible to know that device has been turned on connected to the server and sent the first message.
Cheers

It is possible to know that new connection was opened... but it could be because tracker just lost gprs connection and reconnected.
