Sorry, the code is not doing exactly what I writed in the comment. It would have to be done this way I think:

var buttonPanel = $dp.find('.ui-datepicker-buttonpane');
if (buttonPanel.length>0) {
    buttonPanel.before($tp);
}
else {
    $dp.append($tp);
}

Checking this_defaults.showButtonPanel (which is always true) is not the corret check. Doing so corrects the issue of more than one month on the picker because it is injecting the picker before the button panel but would fail if that button panel is disable (the reason for the check). I code like:

$("#foo").datetimepicker({showButtonPanel: false});

is going to fail if this check is not corrected as pointed in this new comment.
