Can you show us the files pytriqs/Solvers/HybridizationExpansion/test/SingleSiteBethe_output and pytriqs/Solvers/HybridizationExpansion/test/SingleSiteBethe_output.err in your build directory?

What is your version of hdf5 ?

It is not the same as #35 -- different tests failed. The hdf5 I have is 1.8.8, but I don't think it's the problem...

Indeed, I had a handful of compilers and most things were linked against the old glibc.
It took Michel to sit down with the machine to straighten things out. Many thanks again Michel!
In the end, enabling the old compiler and telling cmake to use the latest version of python by
-DPYTHON_INTERPRETER=path_to_python_directory
cured the problem.
