@loskiq Ghost-CLI uses Yarn to install dependencies, and you're missing Yarn - so you will need to install it first, as is noted in the installation documentation π
from ghost-cli.
Hmmm... this for me is a blocking reason why we should not be using yarn in here
It's not at all my expectation that we would use yarn to install ghost cli. The expectation is:
npm i -g ghost-cli
ghost install
|| ghost install local
If we want to somehow make use of yarn for installing dependencies of Ghost that's one thing but enforcing users to install yarn before Ghost is a no-go.
from ghost-cli.
@loskiq So this is issue will be fixed in the next release of Ghost-CLI. Yarn is now included in Ghost-CLI's dependencies, so that should fix any issues π
from ghost-cli.
Ofiicial ghost doc says either Yarn or NPM to manage packages >> https://ghost.org/docs/install/local/
But you can't install ghost locally without yarn. Anyway that's great. Whatever the features are, a cms should be developer friendly, that's the first thing, it should be installed without wasting hours searching in the forums for solution. Even if you install yarn, it still doesn't work, another error pops up complaining about yarn >>"yarn: error: no such option: --no-emoji"
from ghost-cli.
