Hey @jrochkind,

Sure, case change support is definitely inside the scope of TwitterCLDR and sounds like a great feature to have. I'm currently working on rule-based number formatters, which require a fairly large refactor that I'm doing in my spare time, so I don't know when I'll be able to work on casing. Are you interested in perhaps submitting a pull request? Depending on license compatibility, we might be able to adapt the casing code from unicode_utils, or at least draw some inspiration from it.

okay, good to know, thanks! Depending on how my needs evolve, I might submit a pull request. Right now I've actually wound up going in a different direction that doesn't neccesarily need up/downcase, but instead needs #108 , the PR I have submitted!

Hey @jrochkind I just pushed up the casefold branch which can transform stuff like "Weißrussland" into "weissrussland". It'll be merged into v3.0 pretty soon. Obvious next step is to add full up/downcase support. Just FYI.
