@AlBalz If you chose to just create an archive of the module you need to install it manually. You will find the archive in var/modulecreator folder. Just unzip the archive and make sure the app folder in it goes over the app folder of magento. Do the same for the other folders also.

Thank you very much for your responses.
I was finally able to load the Demo_News module using Mr. Molina's excellent tip above (thank you, Andrés!) and generate the project, which I manually installed as Mr. Strajeru kindly instructed.
I then created an Author, two Articles, and one Section on the Admin Panel, from the "News" menu option that the project created on the back-end.
On the front end, a new "Sections" option was created, but the problem is that when I click on the Section name, I get a 404 error.
I made sure that the Author, Articles and Section are enabled, and checked that both Articles are linked to the Section (on the "Sections" tab on the Article page, and on the "Articles" tab of the Section.)
I also flushed Magento's cache and reindexed everything, and yet the problem persists (i.e., I get a 404 error when I click on the Section name on the front end.)
I know I must be missing something, but for the life of me I can't figure out what.
Any ideas?
