• cookieninja - a fork of cookiecutter (apparently cookiecutter is no longer maintained)
• cruft - if you create a project from a cookiecutter and the cookiecutter is updated, you can use cruft to sync your project tooling with the update
• copier - another way to generate a project from a template, also able to update projects as the template is updated
• pyscaffold - generates a project from it's own opinionated template; can also update your project as the template is updated
