@miti1 I had the same issue, the problem was I had pulled down a new exercise branch so needed to re-add my API key to the manifest file. Hope that helps

I found the solution for this problem and now my map can be shown.
I got the solution from Google.
- Make sure that you have enabled place API android. Make sure you don't select place API without android.
- In manifest file, make sure you include the map api string. My problem was that I change the string to map v2. When I changed it back it resolved my problem

Some problem for me with Android version 6.0.1. When i click on the Add New Location Button, the map just shown for 1~2 seconds then jump back to the mainActivity

So the way I fixed it is that the google API key in the google page has a space at the end, and when I clicked the "copy to clipboard" button that the page provides it didnt copy that last space, and since visually it looked the same it took a while for me to notice the difference, but is working now!
