Ubuntu trusty provides django 1.6.1 (apt-get install python-django).

Django 1.8 is the oldest version that's still supported. Even the documentation for 1.6 seems to have disappeared from the django site.

As of commit eb2243a, the site is running under Django 1.10.3 and python 2.7.12. All built-in tests pass. "manage.py check" reports no issues.

Commit 56aa3e9 migrates to Django 1.11.
Commit 57518ae is a python 3 migration.
I'm now running the DipTV site on Django 1.11 and python3. That does mean that python2 compatibility will very rarely be tested.
