crossbar is strictly shared memory IPC. The current PodBus<T> uses Box<[Slot<T>]> which is in-process only. Must be backed by mmap'd shared memory, cross-process, URI-addressed like ShmPublisher. Rewrite to use the existing SHM infrastructure.
