Currently working on the migration to TypeScript (#15) I too noticed this and, to add some kind of request sanitisation, starting adding request method checks along the way. Though I feel like more should be added to stop any potentially malicious requests

While the API now checks if a user is authenticated it still does not check if a user is authorized to do certain things. For example, if you are logged in you can also edit/delete posts from other users if you just change the postId. Any suggestions for access control in the API?

Thanks for all the great work, this repository gave me a head start with my current project!
