You can try out redis's build-in lua script feature, or using mod-rxvertx

Using observable is interesting. But the problem will be still there. How to make 2nd observable depends on 1st observable output and chain them together?

well i would say call the first redis command, and on the handler handle your condition and then if you need more than one commands in one go just use the multi command and in the end call exec...

But this is very use case specific...
