hey @mvaldes14
which VM version are you using?
are you using VM with graphite datasource in grafana?

thanks @AndrewChubatiuk - running 1.97.1 on all components
yes we are using the graphite datasource pointed to the graphite tenant within VM

found a flag(search.graphiteStorageStep) within vmselect to adjust the step search parameters and seems to have reduced the number of data points returned.

noticed that the timestamps for the metrics do not align 100% - does VM changes anything when indexing the documentation?

example
graphite: - notice the timestamps every 5 minutes
2023-05-05 23:55:00 74.2
2023-05-05 23:50:00 74.0
2023-05-05 23:45:00 68.8

vm: - values align but the timestamp is off
2023-05-05 23:52:58 74.2
2023-05-05 23:49:28 74.0
2023-05-05 23:42:27 68.8
