cse541-computer-vision-pose-estimation icon cse541-computer-vision-pose-estimation

This is a semester-long project that I have worked on for the course CSE541 Computer Vision. The aim is to estimate the pose of an athlete given the image or video of the athlete. It includes the following steps: key point estimation, skeletonization, pose estimation, angle estimation, thresholding, and pose detection/classification.

During my undergraduate studies, in one of the courses, CSE250: Database Management System, I along with 2 other group members developed a system that handles different workflows related to a hospital using MySQL and PHP. The main task is to develop a software that registers, stores, and meaningfully manipulates the information related to the patients, staff and doctors, appointments, visits, medicines, etc. (The detailed description about the project and its functionalities is mentioned in the report (Page2 - Page7).)

In the course of MAT204: Linear Algebra, I along with my group partners explored the issue of low complex 2D Image Compression using the Haar Wavelets as the basis function, and also calculated the quality of compressed images using Peak Signal to Noise Ratio (PSNR) factor. [Detailed explanation provided in the Report]

smart-dustbin icon smart-dustbin

As a group project for the course Sensors, Instrumentations, and Experimentation, I along with 2 others, made a working prototype of dustbin whose lid opens automatically, without any contact when a person comes near it (in the range of 2 - 30 centimeters) to throw the trash using a microcontroller based system. Few more functionalities were also added in the project as we moved further. This was done with the help of an Arduino UNO, interfaced with two ultrasonic sensors. [All the required detailed explanation is available in the Report]
