Development environment setup

~/.config

My setup for neovim, tmux, zsh, git, etc.

Copy this into ~/.config. If it's not a brand new machine you probably already have some of the files/folders. You can replace them or merge them together.

git clone --recursive [email protected]:volny/dotconfig.git ~/.config

Install script

At your own risk: Review install.sh, edit to your requirements, and execute it. It will install dependencies via Homebrew, load iterm settings, symlink various dotfiles to your home directory, and configure tmux, vim etc.

dotconfig's Issues

dependencies to make `nvim -c checkhealth` pass

• brew upgrade python (python3 needed~)
• pip2 install --upgrade neovim
• pip3 install --upgrade neovim
• fix python paths in vimrc
• fix yarn global neovim path

move to homebrew bundle

Env var for global colorschemes

cleanup zsh config

where is prezto coming from anyway? how does ~/.zpresto/ come from anyway? it's references in symlinks. submodule or make own file

Load iterm2 preferences

install tmux plugins

need to do <prefix>I

if ~/.config/ exists warn user and move it out of the way

patch own nerdfonts with ligatures

nvim +PlugInstall +UpdateRemotePlugins +qa

minimal install option

installs only what needed to run zsh, tmux, vim. must include python2/3 (pip), ruby(gem), yarn neovim etc

remove unused stuff from zsh config

cleanup airline

remove unnessesary sections, straight separators (bufferline too)

submodules for prompt and autosuggestions

Prompt whether apps should be installed

give option to install only required apps (zsh, zsh-syntax-highlighting, tmux, neovim, iterm) or none.

yarn --cwd <path> <yarn command>

gotham colorscheme everywhere!

tmux statusline, zsh prompt and zsh colors should all look like gotham.vim

put ag ignore in ~ and remove dir, ref in init.vim and alias

skip brew if already installed

change <leader> to space and alias bindings spacevim-style

make ZSH the default shell
