The interaction controller is a property of the class so it is handled as in the link that you included in the forum post.
Are you using the plugin in swift application? Can you make a stripped down version of your application that can reproduce the issue?

Well I'm using it in Ionic (ngcordova) .. I will try to strip down my app :)

I also experience a crash: Instagram App appears to be called, then suddenly closes and a toast message saying "Picture cannot be loaded" appears.
In the device log:
Error in Success callbackId: Instagram1576996357 : TypeError: Cannot read property 'then' of undefined cordova.js:310 Error in Error callbackId: Instagram1576996358 : TypeError: callback is not a function cordova.js:312 Uncaught TypeError: callback is not a function
The application installed on Android 6, Google Nexus
