I think this is the current behavior in classic. Two things I'm curious about, does it affect other aura area of effect spells like trap effects and does entering the effect versus having it cast on you affect how long it takes to fall off?

I don’t think this is a bug, as flare always applies a debuff to the enemy, so they can’t run out of range and vanish or stealth again. I recall this being a timed debuff on my rogue partner back in TBC.

Funny you comment on this, but I was actually closing it as this has been fixed. It's now consistently 1-3 sec like it was in classic.

- Bow string animations look like a jumbled mess, along with the string animations being all over the place HOT 2
- Hunter still appears dead to party members while feigned HOT 2
- Entrapment from hunter survival talents not DR'ing with itself in PvP HOT 1
- Inconsistent castsequence behavior with Auto Shot and Steady Shot
- Feign death drops combat against raid bosses
- Missing UI option for toggling auto shot/auto attack changing automatically on. HOT 1
- Master Marksman isn't increasing damage done even though it is increasing RAP on stat sheet. HOT 1
- Pet no longer being dismissed upon re-talenting
- Pet follow command while in combat does not work, along with general pet responsiveness being really sluggish HOT 4
- Moving into melee sometimes has a delay on starting an attack, other times it's instant HOT 4
- Surefooted isn't showing as +3% hit in the tooltip, but does give the actual hit HOT 2
- Debuff Application Dazes in Aspect of the Cheetah HOT 2
- Pet happiness is bugged in arena, goes unhappy if you call pet before gates open
- Pets unable to go onto pillars and attack in arena
- Queuing raptor strike out of melee range disables autos HOT 1
- Improved Hunter's Mark can be overwritten by less powerful versions
- Volley does not consume charges of Misdirection
- taming a pet after abandoning another can cause the pet to appear as the abandoned pet?
- Eagle Eye not able to go past 100 yards (max render distance from player model) HOT 1
- Auto shots are canceled when interrupting them with the auto swap option toggled off
