Using Translations in non-web based api's about web2py

Hi,

The attached file will run stand alone edit the connection string line: 145

Then run python api.py

I would like to pass the language on the command line and when the app starts it will use the language passed in.

For example: python api.py -l zh
That command should set the translation to use Chinese and have all the text show in Chinese instead of English.

This would allow me to interact with the code very efficiently via terminal instead of trying to use a web based interface.

Does this require a new parser.add_option, to capture the language, in https://github.com/web2py/web2py/blob/master/gluon/widget.py. And this needs to be followed by T.set_current_languages()?
Since the api.py attachment is not accessible anymore, wasn't sure what the OP wanted to get done.
