Performance Issues on Load about wds-simple-page-builder

To clarify and give a bit more info, issues are in the admin and seem to be related to multiple page builder parts that have custom fields associated with them. Combine a bunch of pagebuilder parts added to a page with a lot of parts that have field data (including things like wysiwyg and color picker fields) and you get script timeout warnings when loading the page in the admin.

I suspect the issue is related to loading all of the field data for all of the page builder parts and hiding them until they are selected in the dropdown. If that's the case, potential solution might be to turn that into an AJAX request -- don't load the field data for all of the pagebuilder parts on load; instead load the field data dynamically when that part has been selected.

The performance issues are something I've noticed too. Especially when there are multiple builder parts with multiple custom fields.

Is this issue (or the builder altogether) something WDS people are still working on or has the project been abandoned?
