Archived Page Title about wet-boew-php

Appears to be in the Design spec for archived content so it applies to GCWU themes, but not necessarily any of the other themes.

I don't think it would hurt to have it in the others, but note the the Archived "plug-in" is dropped in v4. At that point it may make sense to move to the theme, since it will have now core JS/CSS shipped with it.

Is there something replacing the Archive "plug-in"?

I'm going to have a very large amount of unhappy scientist if I tell them now that we've convinced you to give us control of your legacy content, moved it over to our new site and shutdown the site you had personal access to, oops too bad, it's all being turfed anyway.

There is an example implementation here http://wet-boew.github.io/v4.0-ci/demos/archived/archived-en.html, but it now just relies on using other plug-ins for display.
You can see the sample CSS http://wet-boew.github.io/v4.0-ci/unmin/demos/archived/demo/archived.css, but it is no longer included in the core.

@upsonp - I think adding ARCHIVED: as a prefix to the title is an excellent idea when the setting is turned on.

I would imagine that such a feature would be most appreciated for consistency and flexibility. If TBS decided that "OLD CONTENT" should be used instead of "ARCHIVED" tomorrow, it would be a simple matter of modifying the PHP code and the whole site would be done instantly. Same goes for eliminating typos or modifying formatting of the word.

That being said, we are not using this feature yet as all of our WET-GOC sites we are doing in Moodle are less than 8 months old. Moodle doesn't actually have a way to flag content as archived so it doesn't affect our projects at this point.

On a side note, I think the modification should be made to all versions of the theme. If people don't want to make use of the feature, they don't have to.

Since I already have something on my code for the archived stuff I'm just thinking that it would be great to just keep what we have but update the code to the latest V4 code.

Agree with @michael-milette that our script can add automaticly the wording in the title only if the isArchived is setup.

So like that you only have 1 thing to think about when you want to archived a page.

Agreed, I couldn't imagine having to keep track of pages using plain HTML and all the little things that need to be done manually that we're able to do by just setting one flag.

Seems to be working on the BIO website as well. I hope the DFO AETT validator will start ignoring the Archived pages now, I won't know until next Tuesday.
