I'm not sure what our options are here, perhaps we can fiddle a bit with the .htaccess rules, but that might not be a long term solution either.

Well that's annoying! I'm not sure exactly how to fix it in a way that doesn't break on each upgrade, except perhaps to rename the post and redirect just /javascript, but not /javascript/foo.

@annevk, did you upgrade the blog today, or is this from last week?

It's actually not because of WordPress, but because /etc/apache2/conf-enabled/javascript-common.conf has:

Alias /javascript /usr/share/javascript/

<Directory "/usr/share/javascript/">
	Options FollowSymLinks MultiViews
</Directory>

This is now fixed, but unfortunately the setup for this server isn't in version control. whatwg/misc-server#58 is a test that'll at least make sure it doesn't regress.
