I do not understand what benefit this would provide. Please elaborate on how this is better than deleting VM and running script again.

Just to use the same parameters if the user defined custom ones after the first creation. The repeating task for all those parameters could be a massive one.

Disk size, CPU flags, network MAC address, boot delay, priorities, etc.

An idea for to solve for this concern would be to make the changes via Proxmox CLI. Once you have a list of commands needed to make these changes, applying them to another VM would be trivial. I have concerns that adding this functionality would break the idea of separation of concerns. The purpose of this script is to setup bare minimums to get the VM working.

This may be simply achieved with the script checking if any VM has hass.io installed and therefore asking for any indication of re-installing or installing in a new VM.

If re-installing, ask the user to indicate the VM Proxmox number, backup the VM config file and create a brandnew restoring the same config file.
