Hi Eccenux thanks for the suggestion but
I did a test on "phonegap build".... And, here is the message:
plugin unsupported: com.phonegap.plugins.barcodescanner @ 1.0.0

Do you know if is there a way to capture the error and then execute the method AskUser()?

It should be. You might need to use greater/lower PhoneGap version. I used the latest barcode version and PhoneGap 3.0 on PhoneGap Build. Some things don't work but the scanner seem to work fine.

If you want you can also use PhoneGap directly and debug more thoroughly with some IDE (e.g. Netbeans). There are some setup steps in Android part of this plugin repo.

I tried the version 3.0 without success (same error for me) Something that I missed out.
Well... I'm looking for a way to execute the method AskUser but the try/catch is not working. the app is crashing
Do you know if there is a way to detect this type of error and then continues the execution?

I hope you can help me. I am not an Android programmer, or even a 'techie'. I simply have and Android 4.1 (Samsung Galaxy Ring) smartphone - to which I run into the "Sorry, the Android Camera encountered..." error - whenever I try to use the Barcode Scanner app (it reads the QR code OK, but won't transfer the URL to my phone web browser). I have searched and searched on the Net - but always get these programming sites in return. Is there a version of the App that fixes this problem - and if so, where can I get it? Thanks!
