I don't understand the issue. Could you please elaborate?

Sorry, I mixed concepts and couldn't find what we want to achieve with "Support attribute sourcing."

I updated the description but steps are:

  1. Create an attribute with source, getting the info from the shared component.
  2. Component has that data in both editor and frontend.
  3. Add and remove frontend value, reload the post editor and you will have the mismatch error.

I'm closing the issue as I think is not block hydration experiment related.

I've been testing more cases, like removing the frontend attribute from both and switching the selector name, and I guess that is its expected behavior, as we are changing the block attributes and how they are displayed on the fly, causing these mismatches between the JS generated and the DB content.

Yes, a mismatch is expected because frontend: true adds extra markup to the save.js output 🙂

Should we open an issue about this?

Please, I could understand what is Support attribute but I could not guess what we want to achieve here.
