I understand the idea, but I am not yet convinced that the benefits outweigh the issues of this. Some issues are:
- It would be hard to make this feature accessible itself
- It would add a lot of complexity to the project
- Other usecases may require the exact opposite
I also see some alternatives that could solve the underlying issue without some of these downsides:
- close and reopen the dialog repeatedly (maybe with a shortcut to go to the links section directly)
- open the dialog in a second tab/window so you can still move around in the first
I am still considering some options to get this working, e.g. opening the outline in a popup or an extension menu. But these come with issues of their own.
I will keep this in mind, but I don't think there will be a solution soon.
